Blanca 106 Reunion 2008
This last weekend was the Blanca 106 reunion that I have been looking forward to all year. When last year ended I knew I was going to have a hard time letting go. So finally having everyone in one place again was great. I'm not going to do a full write up because I am feeling lazy so here are some thoughts:
- People haven't really changed all that much. I mean everyone's situations are very different but it all felt very natural.
- Go Carts are a lot of fun!
- My undershirts are stained :(
- Being a host for lots of people can be exhausting. (But don't worry you were all great!)
- I wish everyone had been able to come for the whole thing.
- I'm glad Peter was able to stay as long as he did. Did you know we probably won't see him for another year and a half?!
- I wish we had a chance to watch the Buffy musical :(
- Hanging out and sleeping in (or near!) a tent makes everything more fun!
- I love the game of high/low (though I will admit it does have its flaws)
- I'm not very good at Dungeons & Dragons. I have a hard time staying in character. I see why Poppy always plays as herself.
- I wish we had a Ping Pong table
- The Dark Knight effin rocked.
Speaking of high/low...
Some highs:
- Playing balderdash the first night, in particlar Mike's plot summary for the movie This Island Earth.
- Playing Chess and Go with Omer and Peter at all hours of the night
- Playing Catch Phrase, especially for the attemped description of a 'soda jerk'. Who the hell knows what a 'soda jerk' is?! (well besides everyone that was there)
- The Dark Knight
- Hanging out on my computer with Peter
Some lows:
- Mike having to leave early :(
- The 7 hour trip to Denver was exhausting (but I'm glad we picked everyone up!)
- Most everyone having to leave on Sunday
- Not getting enough time to chat with everyone
- Not getting to play put-put golf
Thanks everyone for coming to the reunion! I had a really good time and I look forward to seeing everyone again next year (if not sooner)!
